Eligibility criteria for funded Flu Vaccines
Everyone aged 65 years and over
Pregnant women (any trimester)
Children 6 months plus, with underlying health conditions such as heart or kidney disease, cancer, diabetes, autoimmune disease, cochlear implants
Children 6 months - 4 years who were hospitalised for respiratory illness or have a serious respiratory condition
People with these underlying health conditions: cerebrovascular disease, chronic lung problems including asthmatics on preventers, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, cancer that's not in remission excluding non-invasive skin cancers, autoimmune disease, immune suppression, immune deficiency, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), transplant recipients, neuromuscular & central nervous system diseases.
People under 65 years of age with serious mental health or addiction needs, such as: schizophrenia, major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder; OR are currently accessing secondary or tertiary mental health and addiction services.
For everyone else, it is just $30.
Eligibility criteria for funded Measles Vaccines (MMR)
Children under 18 years regardless of visa or citizenship status
Adults 18 and over if you are eligible for publicly funded healthcare in NZ (i.e. citizens, residents, work visas)
People born in NZ between 1969-2004 are particularly encouraged to get vaccinated, as they likely have only received one dose in the past and may not be fully vaccinated or immune.
